Vodafone - Lambton Quay
New Zealand’s first hot new-look Vodafone retail store has opened in the heart of Wellington’s prime shopping district. This flagship store on Lambton Quay showcases Vodafone’s products and services with live handsets, a fresh store layout and a new global design.
The store environment plays a vital role in turning browsers into customers. The store experience enhances the perception of brand, changes people’s views, inspires and educates.
The store layout needed to be flexible and future-proofed. The fitout has been designed to encourage customers to experience all areas of the store, even if that was not their original intention, maximising exposure to all of Vodafone’s products and services.
The store design has a modular wall system along both sides. The central area of the store has a unique layout, where the midfloor units are placed on a defined ribbon which embraces the heart of the store. The ribbon and midfloor units give a feeling of movement and natural flow which visually links these to the rest of the store.
Brand in retail is neither the poster on the wall nor the logo over the entrance. It is the integration of a clear philosophy in the planning principles which inform the store design and layout.
